Edward Fields Carpet Makers, a vanguard of the American design scene, is pleased to present the Alpha Workshops Edition, a first-time collection with the organization celebrated for providing training in the decorative arts to people living with HIV/AIDS. For this unique Edition, Edward Fields’ designers worked in close unison with the Alpha Workshops team to adapt a selection of patterns from the Alpha Workshops design archives, resulting in an exclusive suite of thirteen new bespoke rugs. Each of the designs in the Alpha Workshops line was selected to seamlessly integrate into the lush, timeless style that is synonymous with the Edward Fields name. Like all Edward Fields products, each Alpha Workshops rug can be tailored precisely to the aesthetic vision and practical requirements of clients and designers.

The Alpha Workshops is the first non-profit organisation in the US to provide decorative arts education and employment for adults with visible and invisible disabilities, including HIV/AIDS. Dedicated to creating beauty and changing lives, the organization was founded in 1995 and modelled on the famed Omega Workshops, the Wiener Werkstätte, the Bauhaus, and the American Arts & Crafts movement. Edward Fields designers worked in close union with The Alpha Workshops team on two editions, adapting a selection of patterns from the design archives resulting in an exclusive suite of bespoke rugs.
