Hôtel Madame Rêve by Laurent Taïeb, Paris

Art Director: Laurent Taïeb

Carpet Design: Custom

Madame Rêve Hotel is a 5-stars hotel nestled in the iconic 19th century Louvre post office building. The interiors include a subtle mix of precious woods and golden-brown fabrics, including bespoke carpets from Tai Ping. The decor is a poetic nod to the imaginary of Madame Rêve herself, the title character of the 1991 song by Alain Bashung. Decorative accents in the shape of a woman’s décolleté with corset are evident in lamp fittings and even the corridor carpet design. In the signature restaurant, La Plume, handmade carpets in 100% New Zealand wool by Tai Ping depict the sheen and sensuality of long, women's hair, with its natural flow and movement.
