The Cold Cut Coasters collection is inspired on one of Chen Chen & Kai Williams’s most emblematic works: coasters made from an aggregation of wood, resin and fabrics cut in the mass. The new creations can be displayed on the wall or floor. All designs in this collection are expertly tufted by Tai Ping artisans.

New York-based design Chen Chen and Kai Williams are known for their materials and process-based forms. This influential partnership long ago put the rulebook aside, playfully challenging the codes of object design and experimenting with materials to seek out new forms. From the metamorphic to the functional, their expertly-crafted work explores material fluidity in ever-changing spaces.
Their Cold Cut Coasters collection for Tai Ping explores the theme of anagram through new takes on one of their most emblematic works: coasters made from an aggregation of wood, resin and fabrics. The duo also designed Riprap for the Edition One collection.
